Call for construction of Tariq Shaheed road

PESHAWAR: The residents of different villages of Nowshsera district on Sunday demanded construction of Tariq Shaheed road, which was badly damaged by last year's devastated floods.

The inhabitants of villages Mohib Banda, Dheri Mian Ishaq, Amankot and Khuderzai in Nowshera district told APP that big craters have been developed in Tariq Shaheed Road, which require immediate construction and repair work.

Eminent elder Misal Khan, resident of Deri Mian Ishaq told APP that over 50,000 people are confronted with enormous problems due to this dilapidated road as about 40 minutes are being spent by masses to cover four kilometer distance while reaching Pabbi.

He requested Irrigation Department Minister Pervez Khattak and Parliamentary Secretary for Petroleum and Natural Resources and MNA Tariq Khan Khattak to start construction work on this road as quickly as possible to address problems of people. Further delay would increase anxiety and depression among masses and they would be in right to launch peaceful protest in order to press government for it early construction.
