QUETTA: Security has been tightened on Monday in the provincial capital after the killing of Station House Officer New Sariab police station, Manzoor Tareen, his driver and security guard by the unidentified armed men on Sunday night in the Killi Shahnawaz area of Sariab Road.
According to the police sources, additional contingents of security personnel had been deployed on main junctions of the provincial capital whereas additional check posts have also been established in some areas to keep vigil on the anti-peace elements.
The police, FC deployed at pickets strictly checking the people and vehicles. The mobile of law enforcement agencies are seen patrolling in sensitive areas including Sariab Road, Jail Road, Qambrani Road and Sabzal Raod to avoid untoward incident.
Security organizations and officials on entry and exit pickets have directed to be vigilant.
Security around the mosques and Imambargahs has also been tightened.
