"Unknown men had planted explosive device along the roadside," police said adding they detonated it with remote control when a vehicle of the security forces passed by the area.
Blast caused severe damage to the vehicle, however, the personnel of security forces remained unhurt.
Police have registered a case and started probe into the incident.
