Heavy rains disrupt power supply in Sindh

HYDERABAD: Heavy rainfalls across the Sindh badly affected the power supply in the province. The power supply in various areas could not be restored even after 48 hours, making the life miserable of a common man.

Afandi Town, Preetabad, Latifabad #2, 7 among several areas remained under darkness; meanwhile, angry mobs torched the office of HESCO.

A power supply to Jamshoro was being suspended since Tuesday. Due to the prolonged power outage a problem of drinking water shortage arose.

In Tandoalayar, the power suspended soon after the beginning of rainfall on Wednesday. The power was supplied to the regions including Badin, Matli and Golarchi for very short duration during the last two days.
