Gujranwala: floodwater enters more than 50 villages

GUJRANWALA: Floodwater of 3000 cusecs is expected to pass through Daik nullah within few fours, Geo News reported.

Floodwater from Daik nullah entered 50 villages from Pasror to Qila Ahmadabad as the Gujranwala received torrential showers last day.

The water also destroyed fossils of vegetables on thousands of acres land. Meanwhile, Basrool Narewal road was blocked due to the flood. Land links among villages also get disconnected.

District administration has directed rescue teams to shift stranded villagers to safer places.

Meanwhile, torrential rains and strong winds turned the weather pleasant in Peshawar.
