FAISALABAD: As many as 240 shopkeepers were fined on charge of profiteering during the last two days.
According to a spokesman of the district administration, special price control magistrates conducted more than 500 raids in various parts of 106 markets, bazaars, shopping plazas and commercials areas of the district on Sunday and Monday.
During the raids, they found 240 shopkeepers involved in profiteering and imposed fine of Rs 261,100 on them.
