Hafizabad woman allegedly beats husband to death for 'not letting her go out'

HAFIZABAD: A woman allegedly beat her husband to death with a stick after a domestic spat following years of tensions which stemmed from his refusal to let her go out of the house, police said Tuesday after arresting her.
According to police, the couple were married for almost three decades and had three children together. They often fought over domestic issues. The deceased repeatedly denied his wife permission to step outside their house, causing resentment between them.
Last night, as her husband slept, the accused beat him to death with a stick. Kasoki police station, where she was booked for the suspected murder, sent the deceased's body to the district headquarters (DHQ) hospital for post-mortem.
The case was filed on behalf of the late man's brother, following which the woman was arrested.
