ISLAMABAD: Independent Senator Mirza Mohammad Afridi on Wednesday tested negative for coronavirus after contracting the infection last month.
Afridi said he would attend the Upper House's session tomorrow (Thursday) after recovering from the virus. The politician had been practicing self-isolation at his home in Lahore ever since he tested positive.
According to Dawn News, Afridi had said that he went to Peshawar last month where he had distributed ration bags in different areas of the city. Upon his return from the city, he started experiencing high temperature and body ache and had gotten himself tested as a precautionary measure.
Maintaining that people should not give up on precautionary measures during coronavirus outbreak, Afridi said that he is grateful to people's prayer for his recovery.

However, earlier on Tuesday, Qaiser had revealed that he had recovered from the novel coronavirus and had been shifted back to his residence.
