Karachi: several detained during search operation

KARACHI: Police and Ranges jointly carried out search operation in different parts of metropolis, detaining several suspects; meanwhile Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik also visited the area to witness the situation, Geo News reported.

According to the details, police and rangers launched search operation in Bilal Colony area of Korangi in the wee hours of Friday. More than 12 suspects have been apprehended during the operation.

Talking to media, Rehman Malik said that the operation would soon be launched in affected parts of Pak Colony area. He said that the government was striving to restore peace in the city and they would soon be succeeded.

Malik further said that every killing in Karachi was not targeted.
