10 missing, as passenger van falls in river Jhelum

MUZAFFARABAD: A passenger van fell into the river Jhulem, when ten commuters went missing feared washed away in the river and nine were injured, Geo News reported.

Sources said that the overloaded passenger van was on way to Reshian of district Hatian from Rawalpindi, when at Majoi in Muzaffarabad at a turning skidded into the river. Nineteen persons were on board the van of which after an hour of efforts by the locals and the rescue staff nine injured were retrieved from the river, however, ten persons went missing feared washed away in the flowing river.

Rescue sources told that the retrieval of the missing commuters could not be made possible for lack of resources.
