ISLAMABAD: The death toll from rain related incidents in Sindh has rose to 66, Chairman, National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) Zafar Qadir told Geo News adding that at least three million were affected.
The chairman noted that separate teams have been formed to identify the causes behind floods and calculate the damages. 'The government has also ordered to prepare recommendations for building codes for the floods-affected areas and across country.'
While talking to Geo News correspondent, the chairman said that the recent floods have affected 400000 homes and more than 150000 people have been shifted to relief camps.
He pointed out that normal rains were expected but we have recived 150 percent more.
