LONDON: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain Sunday called the Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani up and thanked him for inquiring after his health, Geo News reported.
During the telephonic conversation Altaf Hussain told the Prime Minister that it was due to the latter's prayers and those of the nation that he had now fully recovered from the illness and hoped to resume the political activities soon.
"Inshallah your efforts for the promotion of democracy and strengthening of the democratic institutions will produce positive results and through combined energies we will see the plant of democracy through during the process of its growth," the MQM Chief said.
He also inquired about the well being of the Prime Minister and his family and wished him well.
Congratulating Altaf Hussain on recovering health, the Premier said MQM was a political reality and a public force.
"The incumbent government believes in national reconciliation and negotiations and respects the public mandate enjoyed by MQM," Gilani told Altaf Hussain.
