SANGHAR: Devastation has occurred at a large scale after heavy rains in Sindh. Six people were killed when lightning struck in Sanghar taking the death toll from rain related incidents to seventeen on Thursday.
In Badin, 22,000 cusecs of floodwater is passing through the Left Bank Outfall Drain (LBOD) which has cause difficulty for people to obtain food items. Several areas of the district have lost communication. In Mirpur Khas, residents of the area have started praying for the rain to stop. Fifty additional villages have been inundated and five people were killed in rain related incidents.
Meanwhile in Naushahro Feroze, five villages have been inundated and in Dadu several homes have been damaged while crops have been destroyed due to the rain. The situation in Nawabshah is no different and people have had to take refuge in schools and on roads.
