QUETTA: The country representative of the UNICEF Dan Rohrmaan has expressed concern over the increasing number of polio cases in the Chamna area of Qilla Abdullah district.
He was talking to the Deputy Commissioner Chaman and Health officials during his visit to the Chaman on Thursday.
World Health Organization (WHO) country representative, Naeema Saeed Abid was prominent among the other members who accompanied the UNICEF's country head.
"Emergence of 13 cases only in the Qilla Abdullah district was matter of deep concerned; he said adding work is underway on the emergency plan to wipe out the polio virus from Pakistan.
He assured that UNICEF would extend all-out support to the district administration for his efforts to remove the menace of polio from the area.
