LAHORE: Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said Friday that nuclear weapons and a large army were not enough to keep the nation united, Geo News reported.
Speaking during the Asian conference arranged by the SCBA, he said that democracy was essential for establishing the writ of law.
He added that the changes which happened in Pakistan in 2007 would have lasting effects. He further sad the superior judiciary made efforts for the supremacy of law and this would help fight internal and external dangers.
