KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Chief Altaf Hussain Friday said that MQM can join the coalition with Pakistan Peoples Party for the sole cause of lasting peace in Sindh.
Addressing a video press conference from London, he said the MQM is a patriotic political entity and serving the people in every nook and corner of the country.
He told a questioner that his party would support the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), in the greater interest of the country.
To a question, the MQM Chief said his party men had prohibited him from returning to Pakistan.
He advised the youths not to follow the privileged class of politicians because they could not help to resolve problems which are being confronted by the masses.
He said his party has provided the facility of drinking water to Lyari. MQM is not against the people of Lyari instead it opposes criminal elements.
To another question, he said supremacy of law and constitution would help to dispense the justice.
He expressed grief over the deaths of people in different violent incidents in the city and also sympathized with the families of victims.
Altaf Hussain said "a criminal should not be spared irrespective of his party affiliations."
The MQM wants that if Rangers found any proof about the criminals, action should be taken against these elements.
