FAISALABAD: Eleven uplift schemes will be completed in district Jhang under various development programmes at an estimated cost of Rs 21.491 million.

This was stated by Ashraf Husain Bhatta, District Officer (DO) Buildings Division Jhang in a statement issued here on Thursday.

Giving details, he said that under Four Sector Programme, Rs 1 million would be spent on the provision of necessary facilities in Government Boys High School Makhiyana, tehsil Jhang, while a new dispensary would be established at Dhannuwala, tehsil Jhang, at Rs 2.727 million under the Special Development Package.

He said that Rs 0.782 million were allocated for Government Girls Primary School Chak Noon under Punjab Education Reforms Programme whereas, Rs 2.374 million would be expended on Government Girls Primary School Chah Abbas Wala, tehsil Ahmadpur Sial.

Similarly, Rs 0.5 million will be spent on Government Girls High School Dabb Kalan, tehsil Shorkot, Rs 1.269 million on Government Girls Primary School Islam Wala, tehsil Ahmadpur Sial, Rs 0.912 on Government Boys Middle School Chak No.161, tehsil Jhang, Rs 0.912 million on Government Girls Primary School Ranjeet Kot, tehsil Ahmadpur Sial and Rs.5.015 million on the provision of basic facilities at Government Boys Primary School Chak No.493 Battian Wala, tehsil Shorkot.

He further said that under MPA Package 2010-11, Rs 1 million was allocated to provide necessary facilities in Government Boys Primary School Jhundeer Niazi Wala, tehsil Ahmadpur Sial while Rs 5 million would be spent on the up-gradation of Government Boys Middle School Siliyana, tehsil Jhang, under General Tide Grant.

He said that tenders for the schemes had been invited up to September 21. Bids will be opened on September 24 in the presence of representatives of firms concerned, the statement added.
