Death toll from Dengue rises to five in KPK

PESHAWAR: One more person died from the Dengue virus in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the death toll rose to five in the province, Geo News reported.

According to the provincial health department, a person died from the virus in Haripur district. Prior to this, two people had died from the Dengue virus in the district while two people lost their lives in Nowshera and Manshera.

Speaking to Geo News, the spokesperson for the health department said 48 Dengue cases had been confirmed in the province.

In a measure to curtail the spread of the virus, fumigation has started in several cities and villages of the province. Residents said that appropriate measures are required to deal with the Dengue virus.
