Gastro outbreak in Memon Goth

KARACHI: 300 Gastro cases have been reported in the Memon Goth area after residents drank contaminated water following the heavy downpour in the city, Geo News reported.

At least four cases have been reported from each household in the locality. When the team from Geo News visited the area it found that contaminated water was being used in homes.

According to doctors the contaminated water is the reason behind the rapid spread of Gastro, which if not contained can be life threatening. Social workers add that the administration has not taken any steps to deal with the spread of the disease.
