Indian supreme court orders CBI probe into Sushant Singh Rajput case

Indian top court on Wednesday announced that CBI will investigate into late Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

Sushant Singh was found dead at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on June 14.

Following the SC verdict, the Chhhichhore actor’s former girlfriend Ankita Lokhande tweeted, “Justice is the truth in action. Truth wins.”

She also dubbed this judgement as the first step towards justice in Sushant Singh case.

The top court also directed the Mumbai police to hand over all the evidence collected in the actor’s death case to the CBI.

According to Times Now, the supreme court also pronounced its verdict on Sushant’s rumoured girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s plea and ordered that the case, filed against her in Bihar to be transferred to Mumbai.

Sushant’s family had filed abetment to suicide case against Rhea and leveled several allegations against her.

She had appealed the court to transfer the FIR registered against her in Patna to Mumbai.
