Killer of wife, daughter convicted

FAISALABAD: Special judge Anti Terrorist Court No. I, Raja Muhammad Arshad handed down death sentence on four counts to an accused involved in killing of his wife and daughter in the area of Ghulam Muhammad police station.

The judge directed the convict to pay Rs 200,000 as fine, otherwise, he will have to undergo an additional one-year imprisonment.

According to the prosecution, convict- Nasir Iqbal resident of Chishtian Chowk, Ghulam Muhammad Abad had burnt his wife Sobia and 10-year-old daughter Kashf to death on suspicion of illicit relations with a neighbourer, on April 19, 2011.(APP)
