LAHORE: A banking Court on Wednesday declared PML-N Senator, Pervaiz Rasheed a proclaimed offender after he failed to appear before the court in a loan recovery case.
The court directed to arrest the accused and produce before the court on October 22.
Banking Court-IV, Judge Amjad Pervaiz passed the orders on a plea moved by Zarai Taraqiati Bank wherein it was submitted that Senator Pervaiz Rasheed and others took a loan of Rs 7.7 million from the bank on December 16, 1987 but failed to return the same.
The amount now due from the respondents amounts to Rs 24.1 million including mark up.
Earlier, the court summoned Pervaiz Rasheed many times to appear in the case but he failed. (APP)
