Hectic work starts at NSK for T20 Cup
KARACHI: The Management of National Stadium Karachi (NSK) has launched hectic work to put the stadium in order for Faysal Bank T20 Cricket Championship which has been shifted to Karachi because of dengue epidemic in Lahore.

"Our staff is fully in action since last night and everything will be ready before the start of competition, " Manager NSK Arshad Khan said on Wednesday.

14-team competition will be played here from September 25 to October 2. Rawalpindi will be defending their crown in the competition.

"We were fully prepared and had launched our preparations after receiving instructions from the PCB Headquarters in Lahore," he said.

He said Chief Groundman Ahsan Arian is preparing the square of pitches for the popular T20 brand of cricket. He said three pitches will be prepared for the event as many matches will be played everyday.

NSK Manager said facilities for the players, spectators and media are being improved and all the things will be ready well in time.

He said the inspection of the floodlight towers will be done on Thursday and cleaning work out and inside stadium and in the stand was in a full swing.

Arshad Khan said Sindh Government and local administration and other agencies and police will be fully supporting for successful staging of the competition. (APP)
