ISLAMABAD: Coordinator of Dengue Control and Surveillance, Islamabad Dr. Najeebullah Durrani on Sunday said that 14 dengue fever suspect patients had been admitted in city's hospitals during last 24 hours.
Two patients out of four admitted in the Polyclinic during the last 24 hours belonged to Islamabad and one each to Rawalpindi and Lahore.
According to details, ten dengue fever suspect patients have been admitted in Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) during last 24 hours and their profiling report was awaited.
He said that no dengue suspect patient was admitted in the Capital Hospital and KRL Hospital.
Dr Durrani said that the fumigation in the rural areas of Islamabad was continuing and anti-mosquito spray was being carried out in the remaining areas.
He said that fumigation was also carried out at the offices of ICT administration, District Courts, office of SSP, Islamabad, Lawyers chambers and office of Islamabad Bar Association, F-8 Markaz, Islamabad. He has appealed to the citizens to follow the preventive and pre-cuationary measures against the mosquitoes. (APP)
