Water tanker mafia rampant in Quetta

QUETTA: President Eminent Citizens Forum Balochistan, Brig (R) Abdul Razzaque Baloch has said that a large number of people of Quetta were forced to purchase water from tanker mafia as there was no supply of water to many areas of the city from relevant departments.

In a statement issued here on Sunday, he said that over 1.6 million people in Balochistan had went under poverty line due to flash floods.
"Civil society and media would jointly have to raise awareness to help these flood-stricken people," he said.

He regretted there was no check and balance on utilization of resources. He demanded check on registration of Afghan refugees with NADRA. (APP)
