ISLAMABAD: Lecturer in International Business of University of Hull (UK), and Consultant for Marble Mosaic and Inlay Business development Dr. Zhen Ye visited PASDEC/UNIDO Workshop of Marble Mosaic Training in Islamabad.
Chief Executive Officer Pakistan Stone Development Company (PASDEC), Ihsanullah Khan briefed him about Marble Mosaic making, and initiatives taken by the company for women skill development and entrepreneurship opportunities in Pakistan.
He said PASDEC is promoting enterprise household models to support women enterprising activities to generate employment in rural areas and produce value-added products from marble waste such as mosaic, inlays and handicrafts.
He said PASDEC in collaboration with its partner UNIDO has been organizing a three months training of marble mosaic and inlay making in Islamabad wherein 60 women are being trained by professional trainer.
Dr. Zhen Ye expressed his keen interest in training session and appreciated the women skill development initiative.
He said that Pakistani women have much potential to learn such kind of skill which could empower them to create sustainable livelihood. (APP)
