ASPs, SPs, CIA directed to ensure speedy investigation

LAHORE: Additional Superintendents of Police and SPs CIA have been directed to expedite the investigation of all cases especially the heinous crimes.

Presiding over a high level meeting to review the overall performance of all SPs and CIA here Wednesday, Capital City Investigation Police Chief Ali Aamir Malik told APP that SSP Investigation Abdul Razzaq Cheema has been asked to monitor the output of all SPs and brief him daily in the evening.

He said that all incharges investigation of police stations have further been directed to supervise the investigation of important cases personally and guide their sub-ordinates for tracing out blind murders and other heinous crimes.

He said that SP CIA Muhammad Umer Virk has also been directed to complete the investigation of hardened criminals entrusted to him. He expressed satisfaction on the performance of SSP Investigation for help redressing the grievances of aggrieved people which he added is prime responsibility of police.

Ali Aamir Malik said that all SPs have strictly been directed to listen to the complaints of the people daily in their offices and help redress the same. He warned that officials showing criminal negligence in their duties would be taken to task which include dismissal from service.

He said that his doors during office hours are always open for public and he attends his office daily till 5 pm to facilitate the masses.
