PHF approves players for central contracts

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has announced the names of the players for awarding them central contracts. Salman Akbar and Rehan Butt failed to make place in the list as Sohail Abbas has been approved the contract..

The PHF has approved the performance based central contracs to the players of national pool on Tuesday in its 20th meeting of the executive board.

This incentive programme will be applicable to players with effect from July 1 and it will continue till November 30, says a press release issued here.

Players put in category `A' of Rs.50,000 per month are Sohail Abbas, Waseem Ahmed, Shakeel Abbasi, Rashid Mehmood, Fareed Ahmed, Muhammad Imran and Muhammad Waqas.

Players placed in category `B' of Rs.40,000 per month are Abdul Haseem Khan, Muhammad Rizwan Senior and Muhammad Irfan.

Players in category `C' of Rs.30,000 per month are Muhammad Zubair, Shafqat Rasool, Muhammad Tausiq, Syed Imran Shah, Syed Kashif Shah, Muhammad Rizwan Junior, Ali Shan and Muhammad Umar Bhutta.

However junior player including Tasawwar Abbas, Muhammad Bilal Qadir, Muhammad Suleman, Muhammad Irfan, Muhammad Umair and Mazhar Abbas will be given a monthly stipend of Rs.15,000 each.
