Court rejects Health dept plea
MULTAN:A division bench of the Lahore High Court rejected appeal of Health department against regularizing services of 281 employees of Multan Institute of Cardiology (MIC) and ordered concerned department to constitute a committee to review the case.

The bench asked Secretary Health Punjab to confirm those employees who meet merit requirement for their concerned posts. The court also directed taking up their case from the back date, of their appointment.

Employees of MIC, including Mohammad Saleem Ishaq, Sajid Iqbal, Rana Tahir, Rana Aftab, Faisal Khan, Danish Alwi, Sheikh Waqas, Mohammad Tahir, Athar Shehbaz, Zeeshan Haider, Yunis Maseeh, Mohammad Amir, Usama Aleem, Mohammad Farooq, Shahid Raza, Qamar Hussain, Mohammad Sajid, Mohammad Adil, Mohammad Naeem, Mohammad Hamza, Mohammad Imran Bashir, Mohammad Ghafoor, Mohammad Asif, Mohammad Kashif and Mohammad Umair, had filed a petition for regularization of services of temporary 281 employees of scale-I to VI.

The petitioners submitted that Punjab government issued orders of regularization of all contractual employees, except MIC employees, and thus discriminated against them. (APP)
