WASHINGTON: Former President Pervez Musharraf said that Haqqani network didn't exist during his tenure.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, former president termed US allegations against Pakistan Army and Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) as baseless and fake.
He said it is the duty of Pakistani government to convince US and other countries that Pakistan was not involve in terror activities. He said Americans are confused from Pakistan that is why they were blaming Pakistan.
Replying to the question about the assassination of Burhanuddin Rabbani, Musharraf said that former was pro-Pakistan, and termed his death a big loss for Pakistan.
He said if US left Afghanistan unstable then there is a chance of big civil war in the country. He also said that if US withdrew forces from Afghanistan then 1989 like situation would again born in the country.
Former presidentsaid Abottabad incident was a major security lapse as security was totally collapsed on September 11, 2001. He said killing Osama bin Laden in Abottabad was an international conspiracy against Pakistan.
Answering another question, he said no talk should be carried out with TTP - Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan as it was a terrorist organization that slaughtered several innocent people and burnt hundreds of girls school in northern areas.
