FAISALABAD: Special judge of Anti-terrorist court No.1, Malik Ishtiaq on Saturday handed down death sentence on two counts to a junior clerk of TMA Madina Town for killing office superintendent in the area of Civil Lines Police Station.
According to the prosecution, convict Ahsan Shehzad resident of Chak No.65-GB Jaranwala had shot dead Malik Amjad Rasheed Office Superintendent TMA Madina Town in his office on September 29, 2010 for conducting an inquiry against him. The convict was also directed to pay Rs 200,000 as fine and compensation, otherwise, he will have to undergo an additional imprisonment of one-and-a-half years in case of default.
