Fasih Bukhari calls on PM

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari nominated Admiral (retd) Fasih Bokhari as Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) today called on the Prime Minister, Yusuf Raza Gilani here, Geo News reported.

This coveted slot had remained vacant, following removal of Justice (retd) Deedar Hussain Shah from NAB chairmanship by the Supreme Court.

President’s spokesman told yesterday that the President has sent letters to the prime minister and the leader of the opposition relating to the appointment of Pak Navy former chief, Fasih Bukhari as NAB Chairman.

Admiral Fasih Bukhari in his meeting with the PM exchanged views on his expected responsibilities.

It may be recalled that the Supreme Court had ordered for the appointment of NAB Chairman without any further delay and the time allowed for this had expired about three months ago.
