FAISALABAD: Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sana Ullha Khan said the Punjab government was taking steps for providing best medical facilities to people.
He was speaking at a briefing session at Liver Centre of District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital after inaugurating endoscopy suite in Liver Centre here on Monday.
The minister said the cooperation of private sector could not be ignored for strengthening health care facilities in society.
He urged that a feasibility report should be finalized for the establishment of liver institute and liver transplantation centre in Faisalabad under the public private partnership system.
During briefing, in charge Liver Center Dr Yaseen Hashmi informed that the liver center had been established in 2004 under the arrangement of liver foundation trust and emergency services were available round-the- clock.
Later, Provincial Law Minister Rana Sana Ullah distributed anti viral treatment injections among 70 deserving patients of hepatitis C.
MPAs Khwaja Muhammad Islam, Mian Asif Ajmal, Dr. Ghazala Rana, Principal Punjab Medical College (PMC) Dr. Riaz Husain Dabb, trustees Mian Muhammad Lateef, Major (Retired) Shah Nawaz, Sheikh Ashfaq, Sheikh Arshad, Hajji Maqsood, Mian Danish, Medical Superintendent (MS) DHQ Hospital Dr. Arif Ali, Assistant MS Dr. Habib Buter, Dr. Aamir Shaukat, Dr. Shaheena Hashmi and others were also present.
