People’s Aman Committee banned

KARACHI: People’s Aman Committee has been declared a banned organization, Geo News reported. According to a Sindh Home Department notification issued here People’s Aman Committee is, henceforth, not allowed to pursue any political/social activities at all.

The notification issued here late night said that the Lyari-based group has been banned under Clause (11/B) of Anti-terrorism Act 1997.

Sources termed it an extraordinary issuance as far as its timing was concerned as such notifications are not timed like this, adding the Home Department reopened its offices to churn out the notification late at night, which is quite unusual.
