PESHAWAR: The body of a first class cricketer, Numan Habib was found dumped in a sack at posh Hayatabad area, police said here on Tuesday.

The outlaws have brutally killed the young cricketer and later threw his body in a rainy nullah at Phase-VI Hayatabad.

The 32 year old Numan Habib was the son of former Secretary, Peshawar District Cricket Association, late Fazal Habib.

The reason behind incident could not be immediately ascertained. During his ten years professional career, the right arms pacer had recently grabbed seven wickets from Peshawar team against Multan region in the ongoing Quaid Trophy match.

The sports circles strongly condemned the brutal murder of the young cricketer and demanded exemplary punishment to killers. The funeral prayer of the victim would be held at 8pm in Hayatabad on Tuesday.
