RAWALPINDI: All Pakistan Inter-College English/Urdu declamation contest for the year 2011, under the auspices of the Directorate of Federal Government Educational institutions (FGEI) was held here at F.G Post-Graduate College for Women, Kashmir Road.
The team of F.G College, Kashmir Road was declared the winner of the trophy by scoring maximum marks .
Ex-Principal Shafqat Aslam was the chief guest on the occasion. The topic for english declamation was "Talent and Modesty go Together "while the Urdu topic was "Jis Qoom Kay Bachay Hai Khudar, Hunarmand".
The chief guest said that Pakistanis have brilliant minds and they earned a good name in many fields of life in the world. She said that education is a key to success adding that no nation can progress without education.
Principal Nasreen Mirza said that skill based knowledge was the heritage of musilms adding that we can regain our lost honour and glory only by making sincere efforts.
