KARACHI: Administrator Karachi Muhammad Hussain Syed Wednesday said that work on Karachi Greater Sewerage Plan (S-III) will be started soon.
The project costing Rs16 billion will be funded by federal and provincial government and KPT and would be completed in 4 years, he said.
He was speaking at a meeting held in the DCO Camp Office here.
Earlier, he inspected the proposed site allocated by KPT at Mai Kolachi Bypass for installation of treatment plant.
Managing Director KWSB, Misbahuddin Farid, EDO Revenue Ganhor Leghari and other city government and water board officials were present on this occasion.
During the visit to the location of treatment plant, the Administrator Karachi was informed that the KPT would install the treatment plant on 50 acres of land owned by Board of Revenue with a cost of Rs3 billion.
The Administrator directed the officials to work out all documentation and formalities for this project so that work on S-III could begin at the earliest. (APP)
