KARACHI: The Sindh government has finally decided to fill the home ministry by appointing provincial lawmaker Sohail Anwar Khan Siyal to the long-vacant slot.
He on Thursday took oath of the ministry and given an additional portfolio of Prisons in ceremony held at the Governor House here.
The ruling Pakistan People's Party's (PPP) leadership showed its trust on Siyal, a 40-year-old lawmaker from Larkana.
Siyal was elected on a PPP ticket as a member of the Sindh Assembly from the PS-35 Larkana-I seat in the 2013 general elections.
Before Siyal's appointment, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah held the provincial home ministry portfolio.
