Newborn recovered after suo moto notice

FAISALABAD: A private hospital administration has returned the newborn baby to his mother after suo moto notice of Chief Justice of Pakistan, Geo News reported.

According to details, a private hospital had snatched the newborn baby from his/her mother as she could not pay hospital charges of Rs3000 due to poverty.

'Geo News' reported the incident in its 9:00 pm bulletin on October 14. Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary took suo moto notice following this report on 'Geo News'.

The CJP constituted a team of District and Session Judge Raja Ikhlaq and Senior Civil Judge, who recovered the baby from hospital administration and handed over to his/her mother.

Ghafooran Bibi, mother of the newborn, has thanked 'Geo News' and Chief Justice of Pakistan.
