RAWALPINDI: City Traffic Police (CTP) has been has been ordered to remove encroachments from the city.
Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Ghulam Abbas Tarar according to a press release issued here on Monday said that all the traffic Inspectors have been given the powers of anti encroachment Inspectors who will launch an operation with the coordination of Tehsil Municipal Administration (TMA), Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) and Chaklala Cantonment and they are directed to submit report on daily basis.
Abbas said that encroachment is the main hurdle in the smooth flow of traffic.
He hoped that traffic police will perform their duties dedicatedly to remove the encroachment without any discrimination.
