ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court has ordered for the payment of unpaid six months’ salaries to the employees of the pilot colleges in Punjab, Geo News reported.
Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhry said that non-payment of salaries to the railway employees and lady health workers were also in his notice.
SC bench headed by the Chief Justice was hearing the case relating to non-payment of salaries to the teachers and employees of the pilot colleges in Punjab.
Chief Justice in his remarks said, “The people for salaries protesting everyday in the country. If the salaries are not paid, then how the hearth and homes can run? Salary not reaching the house breaks out a dooms day.” The chief justice also referred to what Hazrat Omar said, “If even a dog dies of hunger on the bank of Euphrates, then he would be responsible for that.”
