Sri Lanka bat in second Pakistan Test
DUBAI: Sri Lankan captain Tillakaratne Dilshan won the toss and chose to bat in the second Test against Pakistan at the Dubai Stadium on Wednesday.

Sri Lanka were dealt a blow when their wicket-keeper batsman Prasanna Jayawardene, who hit a match-saving 120 in the drawn first Test at Abu Dhabi last week, was ruled out due to injury.

Also out was paceman Nuwan Pradeep and the two slots went to keeper Kaushal Silva and fast bowler Dhammika Prasad. The 25-year-old Silva is making his Test debut.

Pakistan brought in left-arm spinner Abdul Rehman in place of paceman Aizaz Cheema.

The third Test of the series will be played in Sharjah from November 3.
