HYDERABAD: The government continues to provide health facilities to hundreds of thousands of people affected due to heavy monsoon rains in Matiari.
According to report, EDO health informed that most of the people in affected areas of the district are suffering from skin diseases of whom 7355 patients had been treated. Besides 7227 patients of Diarrhea, 9078 patients of Acute Respiratory Infection, 1852 patients of dysentery, 4367 patients of eye infection and 16 patients of snake bite had also been treated.
He also informed that 10145 patients suspected of malaria were tested of which 151 cases were confirmed.
He said that anti-malaria spray and fumigation as well as immunization of children and pregnant women were also being carried out. (APP)
