HYDERABAD: The ground-breaking ceremony of state-of-the-art regional Blood Transfusion Center in Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), was held here on Thursday.
Addressing the ceremony the Vice Chancellor of LUMHS, Professor Dr Noshad A. Shaikh lauded the role of the German Government for their funding through KFW and for making efforts to establish such important projects to serve the humanity in different areas of Pakistan.
He informed that the Safe Blood Transfusion Project will be completed by the end of 2013.
The ceremony was attended by Special Secretary Health Sikander Panhwar, Vice Chancellor Peoples University of Medical and Health Sciences Nawabshah Professor Azam Yousfani, National Blood Transfusion Programme's Dr Hasan Abbas Zaheer, KFW Project Manager Dr Masuma Zaidi among others. (APP)
