QUETTA: Section 144 was imposed in Quetta late on Monday after a firing incident by unknown gunmen earlier during which at least three people were killed and five others were wounded.
The incident had taken place on Jinnah road near Medical Complex.
Two women also received bullet injuries and were being treated.
Sources in the Provincial Home Department said that following the incident, it was decided to impose Section 144 late on Monday.
Not more than four people are allowed to congregate in any public area, and action will be taken against any offenders.
A ban on pillion riding and display of arms also goes into effect with Section 144.
