Bugti murder: BHC orders to bring Musharraf, Aziz back
QUETTA: The court during today's proceedings ordered the government to bring back all the accused nominated in Akbar Bugti killing case including former prime minister Shaukat Aziz, former president Pervaiz Musharraf, Geo News reported. A sworn-in statement of former prime minister Shaukar Aziz was also submitted in the court during today's proceedings.

A Quetta judicial magistrate on Friday issued arrest warrants for Pervez Musharraf and Shaukat Aziz in the Nawab Akbar Bugti murder case.

The warrants were issued on the request of the Crime Branch, which is investigating the killing of Nawab Bugti on the directives of the Balochistan Government. Earlier, the same court had also issued an arrest warrant for former Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Shoaib Nausherwani.

It may be recalled here that the murder case was registered against six persons, including Musharraf, with the Dera Bugti city police station on October 15, 2009. Sohail Rajput, the counsel for Jamil Akbar Bugti, son of Nawab Akbar Bugti, lodged the FIR after the Balochistan High Court (BHC), on the request of Jamil Bugti, ordered that the murder case be registered against Musharraf, the former Prime Minister, former interior minister Aftab Ahmad Sherpao, former chief minister Balochistan Jam Muhammad Yousuf and former provincial Interior Minister Shoaib Nausherwani.

All these persons have been named in the FIR lodged by Sohail Rajput. A request has also been made for the registration of a murder case against former governor Balochistan, Owais Ahmed Ghani. Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed during an operation near Dera Bugti on August 26, 2006.
