Man killed in blast

QUETTA: A man was killed in an explosion here in Hazara Town area at Brewery Road on Saturday afternoon.

SHO Brewery Police Station Amir Khan Dashti told a local news agency that the man could be a miscreant. He was killed when the explosive device he might have tried to plant close to Imbargah Imam Baqar area went off.

"I cannot say surely whether he was a suicide bomber or he was trying to plant the explosive device to target the Imambargah," he said and added a bomb disposal squad team had arrived at the site to determine the nature of the blast.

The blast caused neither damage to life nor property as it occured in an open space.

Security in the area had been further tightened following the blast. (APP)
