QUETTA: Security has been tightened in Quetta ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, said the police sources on Saturday.
According to the police sources, additional contingent of ATF, BC and FC have been deployed at the main markets of the city to cover the hundreds of people converged there for shopping.
Additional check posts have also been established in some areas to keep vigil on the anti-peace elements.
The personnel of police, ATF and FC deployed at pickets strictly checking the people and vehicles. The mobile of law enforcement agencies are seen patrolling in sensitive areas.
Security organizations and officials on entry and exit points have been directed to be vigilant.
Police and BC personnel have also been assigned duties to guard the mosques and Imambargahs to avoid untoward incident. (APP)
