ATHENS: New Greek interim Prime Minister Lucas Papademos was sworn in Friday at the head of a unity government tasked with ratifying a key EU bailout deal and saving the country from bankruptcy, TV footage showed.
The ceremony to swear in Papademos began just after 1400 GMT with the head of the Church of Greece, Archbishop Ieronymos, officiating and head of state Carolos Papoulias and members of the new cabinet looking on. (AFP)
