Over 7,000 security personnel will perform security duties and it has been also under consideration to cancel the holidays of cops of Islamabad Police force and not to grant leave to any one during Muharram- ul-Haram in order to maintain high vigilance and foolproof security.
Islamabad Police is also preparing a comprehensive security plan for main processions of Muharam ul Haram which would be ensured through the coordination of police officers and other law enforcement agencies.
Lady Police would be deputed for the female processions while police officers and Jawans would perform security duties outside the Imambargahs.
Main processions would start from 8th to 11th Muharam-ul-Haram.
All Station House Officers (SHOs) would get the complete bio-data of those volunteers performing security duties.
Peace committees would be asked to ensure that no stranger should be allowed to stay in the worship places for security reasons during the month of Muharram.
Police has been also directed to intensify patrolling in their respective areas and checking at the entry as well as exit places would be further strengthened.
Parking lots would be far away from the processions with proper security arrangements there and metal detectors would be used at entry and exit points too. (APP)
